Windows guide

Search what you see on Windows.

No perfect search words needed.

Circle a product, place, plant, or object and let the picture start the search.

Visual search uses an image instead of a typed question. It is useful when you recognize something but do not know its name, model, style, or location.

Good uses

Let the object be the question.

Visual search can help identify clothing, furniture, tools, plants, landmarks, artwork, products, and similar images. Results depend on the image and the search provider, so treat identification as a useful lead rather than a guarantee.

With Circo

Search any visible object.

  1. Put the object on your screen.
  2. Press Alt + C.
  3. Circle the object closely, leaving out unrelated details.
  4. Choose Visual search. Circo opens the result from Google Lens.

Sharper results

Keep the selection focused.

  • Circle one main object instead of the whole screen.
  • Pause moving video and choose a clear frame.
  • Include a logo or distinctive detail when it helps identify the item.
  • Try a second crop if the first result focuses on the background.
  • Check trusted sources before acting on a product or identity match.

Before you search

The selected crop goes to Google Lens.

Visual search needs an online image service. Circo uploads only the crop you chose over HTTPS; it does not continuously send or record your screen. Avoid including passwords, private messages, faces, account details, or confidential work in the selection.

Other options

Browser, screenshot, or Circo.

You can save a screenshot and upload it to Google Lens, use visual-search features offered by some browsers, or search an existing image file. Circo is designed for the moment when the object is already visible: press one shortcut, circle it, and continue.
