Getting started

How to use Circo.

One shortcut. Three useful actions.

Install the app, press Alt + C, select what you see, then search, copy, or translate it.

Circo is a Windows 10 and 11 app for acting on anything already visible on your screen. The default shortcut is Alt + C, but you can change it.

Step 1

Download the right installer.

Most Windows PCs use the x64 installer. Choose ARM64 if your Windows device has an ARM processor, or use the universal installer if you are unsure. Circo installs for your Windows account and does not require administrator access.

The current installer is not digitally signed, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Download only from trycirco.com, check the published SHA-256 checksum if you want to verify the file, and continue only if the publisher warning matches what the download page explains.

Step 2

Make your first selection.

  1. Open a page, image, video, or app.
  2. Press Alt + C.
  3. Draw a circle around an object, or switch to a box for text.
  4. Release to open the Circo action pill.

Press Escape if you want to cancel. The pill stays close to the selection so the next choice is easy to reach.

Step 3

Choose what you want to do.

Visual search

Use the selected picture to search through Google Lens. The crop you chose is sent online.

Copy text

Let Windows read the selected words on your PC, then copy all or part of the result.

Translate

Read the words locally, then send the extracted text to the translation service. The screenshot is not sent to that provider.

Make it yours

Change the shortcut, pill, and display behavior.

Alt + C is the default shortcut, not a permanent requirement. In settings you can choose another shortcut, adjust the pill’s size, opacity, position, and appearance, choose a translation language, and tune behavior for your displays.

Circo supports multiple monitors and mixed display scaling. If a selection appears in the wrong place, update Circo, restart the app, and check the display help in Support.

Your access

Start free, then decide later.

You can try 5 counted actions per day without an account. Sign in with Google or a supported phone number for 150 total Free searches. Active Pro plans include unlimited searches and do not renew automatically.

Sign-in happens in the browser and returns you to the app. App signing will be added later; this does not change your Circo account or payment status.

Quick fixes

If something is not working.

Alt + C does nothing

Open Circo from the Start menu, check the tray, and choose another shortcut if another app already uses Alt + C.

Text is not read correctly

Pause motion, zoom in, use a box, and select fewer words with clear edges.
