How it works

One gesture. The next step is yours.

Circo stays out of the way until you call it. Then it gives you a simple choice—find, read, or translate what’s already in front of you.

01

Call Circo

Press Alt + C, click the floating pill, or use the tray. Change the shortcut whenever you like.

02

Circle or box it

Draw around the exact thing you care about on any connected display, even with different display scaling.

03

Choose what happens

Search visually, copy text with local Windows OCR, or translate the words you selected.

Visual search

Find the thing, not the words.

See a lamp, shoe, landmark, recipe, or part you cannot name? Circle it and continue with Google Lens.

Copy text from images, videos, scanned pages, or anywhere normal text selection will not work.

Translate

Understand it where you found it.

Select foreign-language text, read it locally first, and translate the extracted words without sending the screenshot to the translation provider.

Built for daily use

Small details. Less friction.

Circo is a focused utility, not another complicated workspace. The useful controls are there when you want them and quiet when you do not.

05

Audio identification

A future capability. No audio is recorded or sent in the current release.

Not available

Designed with restraint

Your screen is not a feed.

No continuous recording

A capture starts only when you use the shortcut, floating pill, or tray action.

Text is read on your PC

Windows reads the selected text locally. Short-lived working files are removed when the task finishes.

Clear online boundaries

Visual search sends your selected image to Google Lens. Translation sends only the words it needs—not the screenshot.

History under your control

Recent history stays in Circo’s local app data and can be cleared from the app.

Made for moments

When typing the question is the hard part.

You can see it, but cannot name it.

Circle the object and search visually instead of trying five different descriptions.

The text refuses to be selected.

Pull words out of a screenshot, paused video, scanned page, or locked interface with local OCR.

The answer is in another language.

Select the text where you found it and translate the extracted words in one short flow.

You use more than one display.

Circo works across connected displays, even when they use different zoom or scaling settings.

Common questions

Before you install.

Clear answers about how Circo works today. For setup help, visit Support.

Is Circo free?

Yes. You can try 5 actions each day without an account. Sign in for 150 included searches. Pro gives you unlimited searches for 30 days or one year.

Does Circo record my screen?

No. Circo does not continuously record or stream your display. A capture starts only after you trigger Circo and select a region.

What happens to the image I circle?

It depends on the action. Visual search sends the selected crop to Google Lens. OCR is handled locally by Windows. Translation sends the extracted text to Microsoft Azure Translator, not the screenshot.

Can I change Alt + C?

Yes. Alt + C is the default shortcut and is fully customizable in Preferences. An optional Ctrl + Shift + S backup shortcut is available but off by default.

Does Pro renew automatically?

No. Current Pro purchases are one-time payments for 30 days or one year. They do not auto-renew. Buying again extends an existing active period.

Does Circo work on ARM Windows PCs?

Yes. Circo has separate x64 and ARM64 downloads for Windows 10 and Windows 11, plus one larger installer that works on either type.
